Textiles

Textile finishes with MicroSilver BG™-Tec offer an improved, skin-friendly hygiene between washes. This represents a decisive added value for textiles in areas where hygiene is critical. In addition, Bio-Gate AG offers an anti-odor technology which entraps scent molecules with the result that they are no longer detected by the human nose.

Hygiene / Sprays

Antiviral and antimicrobial sprays with MicroSilver BG™-Tec have a very wide spectrum of use. Be it as a spray for work masks, for toys or fitness equipment – wherever people meet, an antiviral/antimicrobial spray can reduce the bacterial and viral burden simply, reliably and with a long-lasting effect. In addition, Bio-Gate AG offers an anti-odor technology which traps scent molecules with the result that they con no longer be detected by the human nose.

Polymers

Anitviral and antimicrobial polymers in the form of master batches or compounds with MicroSilver BG™-Tec (e.g., PA, PU, PP, ABS, PVC, etc.) are employed to manufacture plastic products with improved hygiene. For example, chairs with antiviral and antimicrobial properties display a up to a 90% per cent lower bacterial burden compared with controls even when occupied frequently and exposed to high levels of contamination. It basically equates to a continuous daily cleaning of the chair. This represents a great advantage for public facilities, where standard disinfection measures generally only have short-term effects, and new bacterial contaminations are constantly resupplied.

PU Foams

Approximately 180 litres of sweat and 0.5 kg of dead skin cells accumulate in a mattress each year. MicroSilver BG™-Tec can offer a long-term hygiene solution.

MicroSilver BG™-Tec can be mixed in directly during the production of the polyurethane foam in form of a liquid additive. This produces mattresses and protectors with antimicrobial properties.

Highly frequented facilities such as hospitals, care homes, waiting rooms, receptions and public transport are exposed to high levels of bacteria. Reliable partners have developed special paints and varnishes in collaboration with Bio-Gate AG which are used in aeroplanes and buildings, for example, to reduce the bacterial and viral burden and development of odours. MicroSilver BG™-Tec is a non-toxic and skin-friendly alternative to standard chemicals. Bio-Gate’s technologies offers an additional, valuable improvement in hygiene conditions in such areas.
